John Shannon heads Campbell Rotary Club

John Shannon is president of the Campbell Rotary Club for the 2008-2009 term.

John Shannon, an educator and long-time former associate of the San Jose Unified School District is the new 2008-2009 president of the Campbell Rotary Club. He is currently employed by the Visiting International Faculty Program, headquartered in Chapel Hill, NC. Shannon holds BA and MA degrees from San Jose State University.

Chartered in 1948, the club meets every Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. for a luncheon program at the Eastfield Ming Quong’s Campbell campus on Llewellyn Avenue. The club’s members are drawn from all segments of the business community and are active in a number of community and service activities both locally and through its district and international organizations.

Other new club officers and directors for the current term are: President-elect Rick Davis, engineer; Neil Jacobson, community service; Ravi Chari, international service; Janine Payton, youth service; Dr. Sue Klear, programs; Carl Middione, membership; Bill Highley, Rotary Foundation; Bob Yager, new member orientation; Anne Lauzon, vocational; Bill Ellington, fundraisers; and Dave Crowley, public relations.
