From the Mayor’s Desk
Shop in Campbell for goods and services
By Mayor Donald R. Burr
Special to the Times
With the beautiful spring season here, I encourage residents to shop Campbell and support local businesses so they can thrive. It’s not hard to do and it’s convenient when you explore Campbell’s many new restaurants and retailers, including the ones in the historic downtown district. Remember, each purchase made increases Campbell’s sales tax base, which helps fund city services and amenities.
So, from photocopying services, home repair and garden supplies, to repaving that driveway, buying groceries, gas and garage door openers, or whatever your needs, please support your neighborhood businesses!
By spending your dollars in Campbell you’ll accomplish more than just a single purchase. You’ll help your neighbors and friends stay in business, save money on gas, contribute to cleaner air, support the city’s general fund, and in turn the city can continue to provide you with the desired services and programs that make Campbell a great community for all of us.
